Hilo

Settling down in Hilo, slowly. Life moves at a much slower pace, which is really nice. I haven't had to fight any traffic to work. It's actually quite a bit bigger than I thought it'd be. I'm starting to get used to the home I'm renting. It looks much better and feels more homey with furniture and things that I have brought in.

I'm flying back to Oahu this weekend due to some computer training. Ugh. I hope to catch Once Upon A Mattress when I'm there since I know the guy playing Prince Dauntless.

FFXI has been on hold until I get an internet connection at home which won't be until September 19th. Boo to Oceanic Cable. Oh well. It's nice to see that I can slip back into my early rising routine. I tend to sleep at around 11PM and get up around 4-5 AM. Part of it is probably just nervous energy.

Work is going ok. Getting back into the swing of things.

Farewell to Oahu

Not sure if people still read this or not.

But in case anyone is...

I'll be moving to Hilo in the next 3 weeks or so to join a private practice in Hilo. It's a nice opportunity and I'm excited. Looking at places to rent right now. The only thing I'm dreading is the packing.

Flash Games

Flash games are definitely addicting.

One More Level has a lot of entertaining ones. My personal favorites are:

1. Flight of the Hamsters. I still haven't figured out how to get really far distances.

2. Bubble Shooter. Classic game of matching colors.

3. Dolphin Olympics. Quite fun actually. You get to control a dolphin and do things like forward and backward flips and corkscrews. You try to scores as many points as possible.

4. Circlo. Match colored balls while they are spinning, sometimes quite rapidly.

Wikipedia

I knew I should have been a librarian. Wikipedia is just fascinating. I've been looking up various things including some Disney Shows (yes, finding out who voices whom in Kim Possible), musical theatre people, and movies.

I also got sucked in by articles written about DC comics (I have absolutely no clue what is going on in the DC universe, it was so enlightening), Marvel comics, and old Saturday cartoons. For some reason I always thought taht these Saturday Cartoons had lasted a lot longer on television that they truly did. I distinctly remember television shows such as Visionaries (which lasted only 13 episodes), M.A.S.K. (I think lasted 2 seasons), Transformers, Thundercats (2 seasons?), Silverhawks (does anyone remember them), etc. I didn't realize that Visionaries only lasted such a short time. I even have some of the action figures. It was a nice trip down nostalgia lane.
